It has not been easy to stay off Soda but trust me it's been worth it. Participants of this great challenge have been sharing their experiences and how they have been able to overcome the urge usual to take soda. It's been an amazing experience and they are glad they made such decision to pay attention to their health this year. SODA: WHY YOU NEED TO STOP TAKING IT

If you are willing to take charge of your health in 2022,this post is for you. Here are some of the reasons why soda intake should be stopped: It promotes unecessary weight gain. Note that soda is high in calories and it's never a substitute for food when you are hungry as it doesn't curb hunger. I believe you can relate with this Imagine those times you were famished and had to take one or more bottles of Soda,was your hunger actually curbed that you needed not to take food again? Also, imagine those who take a bottle of soda after consuming their normal food. It's associated with chronic disease conditions like..Heart Disease,type 2 Diabetes and cancer. It causes teeth erosion. It may contribute to liver disorders because of high fructose which can o my be metabolised by the liver. SODA: WHY ITS CRAVING?

  Most people know how dangerous consumption of soda is to their health but still take it anyway. Even when they try to stop , they don't just succeed in their attempt to do that. It's simply because of the craving associated with it that can't just be stopped by mere willpower. To explain how the craving occurs: The human brain has a part known as reward system which is responsible for compensating people when they perform a particular action to promote their survival. An example of such action is eating or drinking. When food is taken, a feel-good chemical known as dopamine is released and same is interpreted by the brain as pleasure. So, in order to get more pleasure,the brain keep seeking for actions that stimulate this feel-good chemo chemical release like eating or drinking a particular food/drink.
